The Church Of St. John
For many years a center of pilgrimage , the apostle John was buried here, and during the early Byzantine period this site was a center of attraction for Christians. Close to Ephesus – it now sits quietly on a castle-like hill overlooking the marsh where the infamous temple of Artemis once stood – now marked by a single column and the occasional stork.
The House Of The Virgin Mary
The house, which is assumed to have lived in Mary’s later years, is an important Catholic visiting place located in the quiet and cool forest above Ephesus.
Itinerary
Day 1
Your guide will welcome you at the Izmir airport or at your hotel in Kusadasi or Selcuk to visit the ancient city of Ephesus and the Ephesus Museum. After lunch you’ll visit the Virgin Mary’s House and Basilica of St. John. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel for the night or drive you to the airport for your flight.
